President's Commission on the Status of Women
Nominations for the Outstanding Women Awards are taken each year beginning in January and are open through February. These awards recognize women who are advocates for the well-being, development and advancement of all women of Mississippi State University campuses and surrounding communities.
Be sure to check our site for specific nomination dates and to download the nomination form. Nominations will be accepted in the following categories:
- Faculty
- Professional Staff (non-faculty)
- Graduate Student
- Support Staff
- Community

MSU faculty, staff, and students are invited to nominate campus and community women for the awards using the nomination form available above along with two letters of recommendation. The application packet can be e-mailed to Carmen Wilder or sent to her attention at Mail Stop 9554, South Hall C313, Mississippi State, MS 39762. Nomination packets are due no later than Monday, February 25, 2013.
Award recipients will receive a plaque and a $1,000 award and will be honored at a public reception on April 2, 2013.
